Pour Picks is an iOS app that does four things for adult bourbon collectors: catalogs the contents of your cellar, scans bottles to identify what you own, tracks the value of your collection over time, and gives you a private journal for every pour. The reference catalog covers thousands of American whiskeys and grows over time, corrected by users when something is missing or wrong.

What Pour Picks is not

It is not a retailer. The app does not sell, distribute, or deliver alcohol.
It is not a marketplace. There are no listings, no buy/sell flows, no auctions, no allocation tools.
It does not show alcohol ads. There are no ads of any kind in the app.
It is not a recommendation engine to drink more. The app exists to help people who already collect bourbon keep their cellar organized.

How Pour Picks makes money

The core app is free. A Cask Club subscription unlocks advanced collection tracking and journaling features. That is the entire revenue model. Subscriptions are managed through Apple, so payment information never touches Pour Picks' servers.

Articles published on this site are written by Bob Guillow based on first-hand experience as a collector and on cited primary sources (distillery technical sheets, industry reference books, TTB filings, and other public sources). When a fact comes from somewhere other than direct experience, it is linked. When something is an opinion, it is labeled.

Articles are dated, and the date is updated only when the content actually changes — not just to make the page look fresh.
